Banana Bread
Banana bread is a delicious and popular baked treat. Here's a simple recipe to make banana bread:
Ingredients:
2 to 3 ripe bananas
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until they're smooth.
Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas and mix well.
Add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture. Stir until all the ingredients are well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay. If you're adding nuts, fold them into the batter at this point.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The baking time may vary, so start checking for doneness around 50 minutes.
Once the banana bread is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Slice and serve the banana bread as desired. It can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature. You can store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days.
That's it! You now have a delicious homemade banana bread to enjoy.
